Why purchase custom?
We know there is a lot of confusion out there with companies claiming to sell custom cabinets when really they are only semi-custom. Vista Woodworking LLC is a true custom cabinet manufacturer. We do not have standard sizes, every project is designed and crafted for that space. There is no being told you are limited to this or that, and no filler pieces are necessary with true custom cabinetry.
After the contract is signed only then will we select the raw materials to create your cabinetry. This ensures that all the wood grain is cohesive, which makes for the best product. We do not have assembly line workers, we have true craftsmen that will put lots of thought into each piece created. The hardware we use is top of the line and will be selected thoughtfully for each cabinet. You are not limit to a few standard finishes, we have the ability to match any paint color. All of our stains and glazes are made in house by our color match specialist. By purchasing custom cabinetry it is like purchasing fine furniture that will be beautiful past the first year and stand the test of time.
STOCK
Stock cabinets are all ready made, pre-manufactured cabinets, meaning they’re mass-produced
in a factory and ready to ship when ordered. They’re sold in modular units, and no customization
is available. What you see is what you get! The advantages of stock cabinets are affordability and
a quick delivery time. However, you usually have a limited selection of styles, shapes, colors, wood type, etc.
Standard Width: Start at 9″ with 3″ increments to 48″
Standard Depth: 12″ for wall cabinets, 24″ for oven, base, and utility cabinets.
SEMI-CUSTOM
Semi-custom cabinets are basically stock cabinets with extra detailing options. The basic cabinetry sizes still apply, but consumers have the option to change certain dimensions, like resizing the cabinet drawers and door fronts, or increasing/decreasing the cabinet depth. The advantages of semi-custom cabinets is that you get the feeling you have some individual input into the design (however very limited). Some manufacturers make the doors smaller to be easier to adjust, which leaves annoying see through gap.
Standard Width: Start at 9″ with 1″ increments to 48″
Standard Depth: Can be reduced or increased according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. (With Upgrade Pricing)
CUSTOM
Custom cabinets are built to your specifications, so they can be pretty much anything you can think of! At Vista you will be limitless with style, sizes and finishes. The cost is in the same ballpark as the semi-custom cabinetry, sometimes less expensive if adding upgrades or changes to the semi-custom lines. There is no comparing the semi custom to truly custom. Its apples and oranges. Our finished product will feel more like fine furniture, and look beautiful past the first year.
